Online Adult Confirmation Preparation (ACP) Policies

Important: The information, software, and print materials contained on the Searchlight Virtual School web site or sent to enrolled participants are the property of Ocean East Publishing and the Searchlight Virtual School. Materials are intended for individual use only. Downloading, duplicating, or distributing materials for any other use is prohibited.

Adobe Acrobat Reader: The Adobe Acrobat Reader is necessary to open and interact with the electronic forms and course materials. Even if you already have the Acrobat Reader, please upgrade to the most current version. It is a free download from Adobe.com.
In order to earn credit, all participants must complete the enrollment process. The enrollment process includes submitting an Enrollment Application and paying the $5 Processing Fee. You will receive a copy of your enrollment application and a receipt from PayPal for the fee payment.
Following the enrollment process, an enrollment confirmation will be sent via e-mail. This confirmation e-mail is different from the receipt you receive from PayPal. Please wait for this confirmation e-mail before ordering the ACP Subscription. In it you will be given your Student Number. You need this number when ordering the subscription.
The ACP Searchlight Subscription Plan is necessary for receiving the online course materials needed for each course. Purchase the subscription plan and wait for the course materials to be sent to you before beginning the courses.

The subscription is ordered and paid for online through PayPal. Course fee: $30.
When payment notification is received by the Searchlight Virtual School, the appropriate PDF is sent as an attachment to the e-mail address on file. The e-mail also contains instructions for downloading and saving the electronic PDF. PLEASE read and follow these important instructions. Enter all reflections and answers to questions into this electronic PDF only.
Keep Records: For your own protection, please retain a copy of everything we send to you and you send to us.
Mobile Devices: The content for the courses (online tutorials) is accessible on mobile devices. The interactive PDF containing the worksheets for each course does not function on mobile platforms. To use the electronic PDF on mobile devices, obtain the free Adobe Fill & Sign App.
It has been estimated that the ACP program can be completed comfortably within a few months. Participants desiring to complete the course requirements within a shorter time frame may elect to do so. Some have completed the courses in a few weeks when facing a deadline. The subscription is valid for one year.
Enrolled Searchlight Virtual School participants will receive a Certificate of Completion after the course materials have been submitted and accepted by the Searchlight Virtual School. The program completion certificate is issued by the Office of Catechetical Leadership, Youth and Young Adult Ministry Formation, Diocese of Palm Beach.
Note: If you are participating in the Searchlight Virtual School by the recommendation of a pastor or catechetical leader in a diocese other than the Diocese of Palm Beach and your diocese is an official diocesan affiliate, your certificate of completion may be issued through your own diocese.

We maintain a 48 hour response policy (excluding weekends). If you complete the enrollment process, order a subscription, or submit completed work and do not hear back from us within a 48 hour timeframe, please get in touch.
